Pinkerton/Hitchcock Family Pictures

Mary Ann Hitchcock holding her grandson William Douglass Pinkerton, Sr.

In our podcast episodes 013 and 014 we explored the life of Mary Ann Hitchcock. She was the wife of Reverend David M. Pinkerton, Jr. Together David and Mary Ann had nine children, three of whom they had lost.

Mary Ann Hitchcock in her later years wrote the pedigrees of the Hitchcock, Stevens, and Pinkerton families as far as she knew. She also wrote thoughts to her children and to future generations. Mary Ann was deeply religious which clearly comes through in her writing.
